Who are Parksiders?

Parkside is comprised of many different people.  We have single soldiers, families with young children, retired couples with an empty nest and many others!  

Our congregation is comprised approximately 50-60% families from Fort Drum, so we know how to care for our military families.  But our locally based Parksiders are wonderful & welcoming people.  Our goal when you visit is to feel welcomed and loved while you are here!

Staff Elders

Pastor Brian 'Rock' Rockwell - Lead Pastor

Pastor Rock (Brian Rockwell) accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at 8 years old and received God’s call into full-time ministry at 17. Rock and Jessica were married in 1996 after graduating from Toccoa Falls College. Pastor Rock graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry and has his Master’s Degree in Ministry Leadership from Crown College. Pastor Rock has served in four churches before coming to Parkside Bible Church and has worked with the YMCA. Jessica is a gymnastics coach and enjoys physical fitness. Pastor Rock and Jessica have four adult children: Brandon (’99) married to Heidi, Jared (’00), Colby (’02), and Isabel (’06). As a family, they enjoy watching sports together, hiking, camping, disc golf, board games, and traveling.

Pastor Reid- Associate Pastor of Worship and Adult Ministries

Reid Walsh has been serving at Parkside since May 2014.  He began his faith journey following Jesus at a youth camp when he was 13. The following summer, God called him to a life of ministry. Following that call, he attended and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Christian Ministry with a focus on youth. He met his wife, Rachel, while serving at his first church in Mountville, PA in 2004, and they have followed God's leading in both youth and worship ministries as far away as Oregon.  Reid served at Youth Pastor at Parkside through 2025, and in January 2026 began transition to overseeing adult ministries- with a passion to help develop small groups and give Parksiders opportunities to grow into a deeper faith and deeper life with Christ.

Parkside Support Staff

  • Director of Youth Ministry - Brandon Noble

    Brandon joined the Parkside team in January of 2026. He accepted and began following Christ in 2018 and was baptized at Parkside in 2024. He and his wife Michaela were married at Parkside and have three children, Eli, Vera, and Xander. Brandon also works for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), primarily serving athletes and coaches in Jefferson and Lewis counties. Prior to FCA, Brandon worked in the athletic department and was the head baseball coach at SUNY Jefferson for 5 years. He enjoys coaching youth sports, especially baseball with his son Eli, and his family as a whole enjoys playing and watching sports, being outdoors, and listening to worship music. 

  • director of Kids Ministry - Jessica Merrill


    Jessica joined the Parkside team in the summer of 2025. She is a loving wife and mom with a passion for Christian ministry. She believes every child should have the opportunity to attend church and know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. 


  • Admin Assistant - Kate Forbes

    Kate joined the Parkside team in 2019. She accepted Christ in Dec 2013 and was baptized in Jan 2015 and has since never looked back. She met her husband, Tyler, at a Christmas hymn sing and tied the knot 8 months later.  Kate and Tyler live in and are renovating an old farmhouse in Evans Mills with their two children, Avery and Ethan, and their dog Lucy.  Kate enjoys baking sweets, fixing up their new/old house, singing, playing games, and jamming with the worship team!

  • Digital Media Specialist - Rachel WAlsh

    Rachel officially joined the Parkside team in 2023. Rachel began attending Parkside in 2014 when her husband, Reid, was hired as Youth Pastor and has been serving in multiple volunteer capacities since then. Prior to meeting her husband, she served the Lord with Youth With A Mission, while serving she was trained in Digital Communications.
