Who are Parksiders?

Parkside is comprised of many different people.  We have single soldiers, families with young children, retired couples with an empty nest and many others!  

Our congregation is comprised approximately 50-60% families from Fort Drum, so we know how to care for our military families.  But our locally based Parksiders are also wonderful people.  Our goal when you visit is to feel welcomed and loved while you are here!

Staff Elders

Pastor Brian 'Rock' Rockwell - Lead Pastor

Pastor Rock (Brian Rockwell) accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at 8 years old and received God’s call into full-time ministry at 17. Rock and Jessica were married in 1996 after graduating from Toccoa Falls College. Pastor Rock graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry and has his Master’s Degree in Ministry Leadership from Crown College. Pastor Rock has served in four churches before coming to Parkside Bible Church and has worked with the YMCA. Jessica is a gymnastics coach and enjoys physical fitness. Pastor Rock and Jessica have four adult children: Brandon (’99) married to Heidi, Jared (’00), Colby (’02), and Isabel (’06). As a family, they enjoy watching sports together, hiking, camping, disc golf, board games, and traveling.

Pastor Reid- Youth Pastor

Reid Walsh has been serving at Parkside since May 2014.  He began his faith journey following Jesus at a youth camp when he was 13. The following summer, God called him to a life of ministry. Following that call, he attended and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Christian Ministry with a focus on youth. He met his wife, Rachel, while serving at his first church in Mountville, PA, and they have followed God's leading in both youth and worship ministries as far away as Oregon.  Reid has a passion to see young people become mature disciples of Christ and then disciple makers.

Parkside Support Staff

  • Kids Ministry Director - Grace Reeves

    Grace is a devoted mom to three daughters—Aurora, Natalie, and Maggie—and the wife of Mason, whose Army service brought their family to Fort Drum in 2021. They love the area and enjoy spending time outdoors in every season, even during the long winters. She also enjoys cooking and all kinds of crafting, always finding creative ways to bring joy to her home and church.

  • Admin Assistant - Kate Forbes

    Kate joined the Parkside team in 2019. She accepted Christ in Dec 2013 and was baptized in Jan 2015 and has since never looked back. She met her husband, Tyler, at a Christmas hymn sing and tied the knot 8 months later.  Kate and Tyler live in and are renovating an old farmhouse in Evans Mills with their two children, Avery and Ethan, and their dog Lucy.  Kate enjoys baking sweets, fixing up their new/old house, singing, playing games, and jamming with the worship team!

  • Worship Coordinator - Amanda Morrison

    Amanda has been a percussionist for nearly 30 years (and probably longer if you ask her parents about her favorite toys as a toddler). She has been seen on various worship teams throughout NY state since her 16th birthday, when she acknowledged the call of Jesus on her life and service through the arts. She joined the Parkside worship team several years ago after the constant prodding of her good friend AnnElyse, which ended up being one of the top best decisions of her life so far. When not drumming, Amanda is a Visual Arts Teacher and Extracurricular Theatre Educator for the Indian River Central School District. She also serves as President of Little Theatre of Watertown, directing and stage managing for many award-winning productions and providing theatre education to the northern NY community. Prior to stepping into her role in education, she worked as a photojournalist for the Watertown Daily Times, winning multiple awards and being internationally recognized for her gifts as a visual artist. Amanda greatly appreciates her God-given gifting in many different types of art and looks forward to serving the church as an artist and musician. 

  • Digital Media Specialist - Rachel WAlsh

    Rachel officially joined the Parkside team in 2023. Rachel began attending Parkside in 2014 when her husband, Reid, was hired as Youth Pastor and has been serving in multiple volunteer capacities since then. Prior to meeting her husband, she served the Lord with Youth With A Mission, while serving she was trained in Digital Communications.
